Bluey is a TV show meant for kids but it became so much more. When I first saw Bluey I thought it was another annoying little kid show. Then I started to really watch it. If you, as a teenager, watch Bluey you know, whether meaning to or not, you fall in love with the characters. They are silly yet serious at times. You will laugh with them and cry with them. The further in the show you get the deeper the subjects become. Now, since I am older and capable of understanding more advanced subjects, I pick up on the unsaid things in the show. It is entertaining for little kids but deep and meaningful for adults and teenagers. This show gives an example of a wholesome and playful family. It teaches kids to imagine and truly play. Kids also learn valuable life lessons like, “Sometimes you’ve just got to be bored, kid!” said Chili Heeler, Bluey’s mom. Sometimes the life lessons don’t make sense to younger kids but are a big realization for older people. For example, “Obstacles do not block the path, they are the path.” stated Bandit Heeler, Bluey’s dad. This quote is later followed by Bluey saying “I don’t understand what you are saying!” when in reality she learned it anyway. What started as a simple cartoon has changed people of all ages.
