We’ve come a long way from last season. The losses. The hanging heads. The disappointment in ourselves. Those moments could’ve broken us. We could’ve given up right there, let the pain define us, and accepted failure, but we didn’t. We pushed. We trained harder and harder, ran faster and faster, got stronger and stronger. We turned that pain, that disappointment, and that embarrassment into the fire we needed to succeed. We went into this season with a chip on our shoulder and an empty trophy case. Now, we’re on the hunt to fill that empty space with a State Championship. Getting ready for sets takes more than just the physical it’s mental. It’s knowing there will be high expectations and pressure, and still delivering no matter what. It’s knowing you’ve worked harder than the people in front of you, and that you’ve built a bond with the people beside you. You trust them, and they trust you.

Every rep, every drop of sweat, every ounce of pain in practice wasn’t for nothing it was for something greater. Back then, we couldn’t see it clearly, but now we do. This isn’t just more games after the season. This is our chance to prove that this year wasn’t a fluke. This is our chance to show the competitors who we truly are. Over the past two weeks, Coach Clark has reminded us of one thing: “Don’t worry about who we play or what record they have or what championships they’ve won before. Their past doesn’t decide their future, and neither does ours. We have built this team back from the ground up, and we are ready to beat anyone who stands between us and the championship we’ve worked so hard to earn. There is no team that can beat this team.” Those words hit deep. They reminded us that it doesn’t matter who we play or what they’ve done, it’s about what we do. And what we’re going to do is dominate. We’re going to show why we are the best. Lions don’t just roar, they chase. And we are chasing the win. We are ready to give everything we have, to fight for every inch, and to do whatever it takes to bring that championship home.
