The One School Varsity Lions played against the Brush Arbor Lions on December 3rd at 5pm. Going into the game #1, Zadiel Vientos, said “I knew we were going to win.” Hours before the game one of the Lions Varsity basketball players, Ethan Aurick Prendergast, got hit in the wrist with a football making it a question if he could play. Although his wrist was in serious pain he still started the game and led the team to victory. Dominic Ardolina, #3, said “Our goal going into the game was to keep them under 20 points, but they scored 18 points in the fourth quarter alone.” We won by 14, with a score 58-44. Jaylen Camillo ran into #12 on the other team making him fall and hit his mouth on the floor. Many wide open layups were missed but they pulled it together and won. #4 Preston Richmond said, “Our individual skill overwhelmed them, so we could work as a cohesive unit to defeat their team. Coach JR implemented his game plan which played a huge part in our victory.”
